First Aid Training

Do you know that (since 2009)

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 1 day

Emergency first aid at work (EFAW) training enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.

Top

AED (Automated External Defibrillator)  -  4 hours

AED operator training for first aid trained and non-first aid personnel. To equip your personnel with the confidence, skill and knowledge to use AEDs, which may save the life of the casualty.

Top

First Aid at Work  (FAW) & FAW Refresher  -  2 or 3 day

First aid at work training includes EFAW and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illness.

Annual Skills Updates  -  4 hours

Training sessions can be arranged in your workplace, with a maximum of 12 students taking part in each half day session. This is a great chance to further prepare staff who are tasked to perform first aid with the injuries that they are likely to encounter where they actually work.

Emergency Preparedness Exercises

We offer annual skills update training either standalone or in conjunction with an evaluation of the effectiveness of your emergency response to incidents. Our exercises take place within your workplace and are of a practical, scenario based nature. By conducting these exercises, we are able to identify areas for potential improvement within your planned arrangements and help you implement a realistic and effective solution.

The aim of the First Aid assessment is……to ensure that the provision of people, equipment and facilities is appropriate for the organisation, takes in to consideration their activities, inherent risks, geographical location, operational hours, and staff availability, and therefore provides adequate treatment for casualties.

The aim of the Annual Refresher Training is……to help keep their basic skills up to date, and they remain competent throughout the duration of their qualification as most first aiders do not regularly have the need to put their skills into action.

AED

Early access to a defibrillator is often vital for casualties suffering from heart problems.

More organisations are now providing AED (Automated External Defibrillator) units and training staff.

IM&SS can assist you to complete the assessment or provide you with a complete service that starts with an assessment of your needs, then offers realistic and sensibly priced solutions.

We offer…….both in-house and open training for all aspects of first aid and emergency preparedness. Click links below for more information.
